September 23, 2010---19 Weeks

How I feel: LARGE. I cannot believe I am not halfway through this pregnancy yet. Seriously. Where is my belly even going to find the skin to contain this massive growth? The baby is already the size of a small cantaloupe, which is somewhat terrifying. I have felt and seen little kicks every day this week, which is by far the best part of this pregnancy up to this point. Baby kicks me during rehearsals and every night at midnight while I'm lying in bed. As s/he grows I am sure I will feel even more, which is exciting. So here's the sucky part: my nausea seems to be returning! I was pretty happily med-free for a couple weeks and had to get another prescription a couple days ago when I was feeling particularly bad and worrying about playing in orchestra, etc. Where does a person puke? In her purse? (I know someone who did that during a concert). The violin is too valuable to just throw on the seat and run out. These are the things that made me have to get another prescription. I'm trying to use it ONLY when I need it. I wonder if it will never end...the good thing is that I have no food aversions. I can eat anything and everything. No real cravings either. The only problem is that I have to eat MORE. I am keeping this blog so that when the little one is born and I'm looking into his/her beautiful eyes and forgetting all the pain, when I am delusional enough to think I want to go through this again, I will have a reliable source of information.
