October 28, 2010---24 Weeks

How I feel: Haven't had any heartburn this week! That's a first since the beginning! Still get nauseous every night. Oh well. My hair is getting lighter. It used to be brown and now it's very light brown, basically red. Even my eyebrows are lighter. Strange. Bill thinks it's because he's a redhead and the baby is half him...who knows, maybe there's something to that! I can't wait to see which features the baby will take on. He's about the size of a cute little eggplant now! And I guess my uterus is as big as a soccer ball. It certainly feels at least that big. Sleeping sucks. I'm out of town working right now, staying in a hotel, and I didn't bother to bring my body pillow. Bad idea! It's so uncomfortable. As far as the good things go, I finally found a prenatal vitamin I can stomach! Took me all this time. It's food-based and has ingredients that support digestion. My weight gain has slowed since I started taking them because I crave less milk now. I think that's why, at least. I have been going to the gym regularly and it makes me feel a lot better and more able to be independent. And, of course, Ashton is still kicking like a pro, so it's not all bad. :) I read that babies born from this time on have a very high chance of survival. Let's hope he stays in there until February, but it is reassuring as each milestone passes.
